Oracle Instant Client

I have been unable to get LINQPad to connect to our oracle DB with either the direct or OCI option. I have the oracle instant client installed and functioning. I am using it with Toad to connect to the DB. When I try to connect through LINQPad I get and error stating, "Can not obtain Oracle client information from registry..." Has anyone been able to connect using Oracle's instant client?
